St. Joseph’s puts the fun in fundraising.

On Saturday, April 28 from 11 am - 7 pm and Sunday, April 29 from 1 pm - 6 pm, Historic St. Joseph’s parish (Spring and Gov’t.), will host its third annual family-friendly “BLUES & BARBQ,” with FREE admission.

Last year, over 2,000 people enjoyed greeting, eating, sipping, and dancing to local and regional bands. Many also toured St. Joseph’s 127-year-old church, led by lifetime St. Joseph parishioners.

“People come from all over,” said BLUES & BARBQ organizer, Linda Radomski.  “Families love our kids’ activities, silent auction, barbecue, outstanding vendors, and delicious desserts. The best --the bands are to dance for!”

“This year we have more bands, barbecue, silent auction items, and arts and crafts. Plus, we have ‘pinch yourself’ raffle prizes: 1st place-$5,000; 2nd place-$1,000, and 3rd place-$500.”

Parish Council Chairperson, Manuel Huanosto, Jr., is grateful for the community’s support. “We’re on the National Register of Historic Places. Maintaining the 127-year-old church and campus’ aging buildings depends on the support of the BLUES & BARBQ fundraiser. Besides having great of fun, food, and electrifying music, you can feel good knowing that your support enables all of the Historic St. Joseph Community and  “Outreach” to continue assistance and welcome to all regardless of their circumstances, religious affiliation, or ethnicity.
